IMME started in 1984 in India, and it is the largest mining exhibition and the only focused trade fair for the mining industry. India ranks world's third-largest producer of coal, following China and the U.S. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s premier industry association and largest exhibition organizer, is proud and presented the 17th edition of the International Mining and Machinery Exhibition (IMME 2024) from 23rd to 26th October 2024 at the Science City Exhibition Ground, Kolkata, India. This event featured a wide array of mining machinery, equipment, advanced technology solutions, services, and supplies from both India and abroad. Australia joined this event as a partner country.
17th Edition of International Mining and Machinery Exhibition (IMME 2024) was held from 23rd to 26th October 2024 at the Science City Exhibition Ground, Kolkata, India. This exhibition was the largest mining exhibition and the only focused trade fair for the mining industry in India. Komatsu India participated jointly with its distributor Larsen & Toubro at indoor stall Nos.171A & 171B, totaling 80 sq.mtrs, displayed product banners, posters and promotions related to branding. The event was quite impactful, showcasing Komatsu’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. Demonstrated the posters of key models of GD950 HE, GD955 MG, 730E Electric Dump Truck, and PC4000 Electric Shovel demonstrate a strong lineup of sustainable mining solutions. The Biodiesel B30 readiness message aligned well with environmental stewardship, showcased a proactive approach to eco-friendly operations. Branding promotion of Williams Racing partnership added an exciting touch with the audiences and Formula 1 fans. Komatsu & L&T stall witnessed over 350 visitors to our stall, including 105+ key mining customers from all zones.
Besides the mining exhibition, the 17th edition of Global Mining Summit (GMS), the flagship event of CII in the Mining Sector was held on 23rd & 24th October 2024 at Kolkata as part of IMME 2024. GMS was inaugurated by Moloy Ghatak, Minister-in-charge, Law Department, Government of West Bengal.
