Confederation of Indian Industry, India’s apex industry body and premiere exhibition organizer hosted the 11th Edition of Excon this year between 17th ~ 21st May, 2022 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, Karnataka. Excon is delivery vehicle of CII for the construction equipment and machinery sector which has been providing an excellent platform for both Indian and Overseas companies to showcase and demonstrate their latest technological advancements, innovative products to the market.
Excon 2021 featured with 2,80,000 square meters of exhibition area with 800+ exhibitors from domestic and international from 11 countries. This event witnessed more than 55,000 business visitors from different parts of India and world. This event was inaugurated by Shri. Basavaraj Bommai, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka and General (Dr.) V.K.Singh PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation, Govt of India.
Komatsu India Private Limited had participated in Excon 2021 and showcased the entire range of Hydraulic Excavator models to the Indian Market.
Komatsu Machines were dominating the show and launched four new models – PC205-10M0, PC500LC-10R, PC210Lc-10M0 Super Long Front and Komatsu Motor Grader GD535-6 with a big gathering of customers, business visitor and financiers. Komatsu team were fully engaged with customers by demonstrating the new products and developments. These new models that launched by KIPL has Komatsu’s global cutting technology and have been specially developed to suit the Indian Applications and conditions.
As part of the initiative Komatsu introduced sustainable technologies through these machines that have been designed to run on B20 Bio-Diesel.
PC205-10M0 – Specially designed to suit the Earthwork application PC500Lc-10R – First of its kind, KIPL launched 50 ton class for mid-mining range suit for overburden removal in coal mines.
PC210LC-10M0 SLF - 15m reach perfectly matches for the applications like river/canal de-silting, well digging and underground metro projects.
GD535-6 – The next generation CEV stage-V emissions-compliant machine fitted with Komatsu’s newly developed 148 HP engine.
The main highlights were that Komatsu India introduced a range of biodiesel compatible equipment for the Indian Construction and Mining Industry and the Managing Director, Mr.Yasunori Fujii addressed the key message during Excon was “Komatsu is ready for biodiesel”. Its an honour for him that Komatsu products and L&T’s product support contributes large to the India’s carbon neutrality efforts as per the government policy.
Another highlight in Komatsu Stall was Women Empowerment shows the engagement in a big way at the Excon show boosted the entire industry and reflected the changing trends in society.
